Management Pack Installation Improvement

Sample design comps for Microsoft System Center Operations Manager R2. The problem to solve was reducing the difficulty end users experience when trying to import or upgrade management packs. Management packs are essential add on components used to monitor a computer network and are based upon technologies. The difficulty is the manual process of navigating to a web catalog and comparing what is on the catalog with what the user has installed on their system.

The proposed design improvement that was adopted and implemented allows the user to compare their installed inventory of management packs with new or upgraded management pack automatically through software. The user can navigate to a wizard type interface that automatically tells them what versions they have installed and compares to what has been released.
